Apostolates
Our fraternity members each have works of service or apostolates which
help the needs of the area, diocese and/or parish. We also have works
which we do as a fraternity.
Some of the works done by individuals are:
Visit hospitals, nursing homes, prisons and other members who cannot
attend meetings. We volunteer our time to assist and support the
pastor
of our parishes in whatever way we can. Other members support us
with their prayers either at home or before the Blessed Sacrament.
As a Fraternity we:
Give prayerful and financial support to the Seminarians, the Poor Clare
nuns and our hosting parish. We collect food for migrant workers;
make rosaries for missions; write letters in support of Peace and
Justice issues; and assist families at Christmas and other times
during the year, volunteer to assist the pastor in whatever areas
we can be of service.
These are just a few of the ways we try to work out our Franciscan
calling in our apostolates. These areas of service are secondary to
striving to live the Gospel with joy in our daily life with our family,
at work, or any other secular area.
We encourage you to let us know of any areas in which we may be able
to help.
